However, it does grow into a crescendo towards the end of the tale. It starts slowly and winds a tale together. Might not be possible to do so! It is quite simply but smartly put, for a psychoanalytical thriller. It keeps getting interesting as one flips the pages and one would wish to finish this one in a single sitting. The Silent Patient keeps the mystery well and it peels off like an onion. The story opens up nicely to reader scrutiny. The way the story tickles your imagination is beyond the ordinary. What an awesome book it is! Characterisation is above par. He is a master creator and a lot of readers would await the release of his other works.

The Silent Patient is a psychological mystery novel and is one of the best in its genre amongst the recent works. He joins the Grove only because he is obsessed with Alicia and with solving the mystery behind the murder of her husband. Theo Faber who already has a respectable job elsewhere, decides to join The Grove, even though it is a sinking ship. The Grove, a high end mental health facility for the highly dangerous folks, gets to keep Alicia. She is a painter and she keeps quiet for the following six years. In The Silent Patient, a woman named Alicia Berenson is accused of murdering her husband. At the outset I would like to state that this is an honest review. I feel like I should preface my review by stating that I have NOT read many psychological thrillers in the past.
